Slacking, and a thought on Environmentalism

Ok, so clearly I have been slacking on the whole Blog thing. I have to admit it, I'm not really a fan. Give me a paper and pencil, ask me to write down my thoughts, and you might get somewhere. Computers and keyboards and online crap don't really appeal to me. Unless it's Electric Sheep, in which case, I'm all about it. Electric Sheep is a screen saver that integrates the "thoughts" of my and other computers and represents them visually with a pattern of colors and shapes, and it's really really cool and I enjoy it a lot. But this is not Electric Sheep, it's online blogging. Blah to blog.

Ok, thinking about environmentalism. What we have now is a planet that is, admittedly, under siege from one of the more intelligent organisms that calls it home. This is disastrous to the other animals and plants that are alive now, along with the air, water, and land. We face the destruction of the Earth as we know it. If changes are not made in the basic way in which we behave, we will kill off all of the world's plants, animals, and ourselves. I feel that, although this would be disastrous, the Earth has been subjected to much worse. Giant asteroids come to mind. So, in the end, the only thing that we are truly protecting is ourselves. Perhaps if the negative impact of our environmental policy on humans was stressed, there would be more of a push to change our ways...
